| This is a brand-new role within Davenport Burgess and represents a unique opportunity to shape, grow, and own our licensed products category from the ground up. We already have access to a fantastic portfolio of licensed products through a key partner (keys, keyrings, and more), but the scope goes far beyond this. With the right focus, creativity, and commercial drive, this category has the potential to become a significant growth engine for the business. The successful candidate will bring passion, energy, and commercial acumen to maximise this opportunity, laying the solid foundations for sustainable growth while keeping us ahead of consumer trends and seasonal demand. | |
| Key Accountabilities: | |
| Category Ownership & Growth - Take full ownership of the licensed products category, establishing the strategy and roadmap for growth. - Build and manage strong supplier relationships (including our key partner), ensuring access to the best licensed ranges and opportunities. - Identify new opportunities to expand into adjacent product categories beyond keys and keyrings. - Maximise seasonal opportunities (e.g. Christmas, back-to-school, film launches, cultural events). Commercial Strategy, Performance & Reporting - Develop sales forecasts, pipeline visibility, and ROI analysis to support decision-making. - Report on revenue, margin, customer growth, and category performance to the leadership team in a clear, actionable way. - Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and customer insights to anticipate risks and opportunities. - Ensure CRM and reporting tools are used effectively to drive visibility and accountability. E-Commerce & Channel Development - Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to optimise online presence and sales. - Drive product visibility and performance through digital channels, including website merchandising, SEO, and promotional campaigns. - Use online analytics to shape category decisions, measure effectiveness, and spot new trends early. Cross Functional Collaboration - Partner with Sales teams to drive sell-through into existing customers and unlock new accounts. - Work with Operations and Supply Chain to ensure availability and smooth delivery of licensed products. - Support marketing with product launches, campaigns, and trade marketing initiatives. | |
Requirements
| Skills, Experience & Success Factors: | ||
| - Proven track record in category management, product management, or licensing (consumer products or FMCG preferred). - Experience in e-commerce and online channel development, understanding how to drive digital sales and optimise product visibility. - Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience in forecasting, pricing, and margin management. - Previous exposure to seasonal/trend-driven markets is advantageous.
