Position Overview:
The Product & Program Manager is responsible for leading both product marketing and patient support initiatives for Convatec's Ostomy Franchise in Japan. This role drives strategic planning and execution across product launches, healthcare professional engagement, and the Me+ patient support program. The manager will collaborate closely with global, regional, and local teams - including sales, clinical education, and digital to ensure alignment with broader strategies while tailoring activities to the Japanese market. The goal is to grow market share, increase product adoption, and enhance the quality of life for ostomates through meaningful engagement.
In this role, you'll play a key part in marketing team, working alongside a dynamic team that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous growth.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Achieve annual revenue targets and product launch milestones for the Japan Ostomy Franchise.
- Expand market share and drive adoption of new and existing products.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for the Me+ program in Japan.
- Increase awareness and engagement with the Me+ program through digital and offline channels.
- Grow Me+ membership by expanding reach and improving the value proposition.
- Plan and execute marketing and patient-centric events (e.g., academic conferences, webinars, seminars, hands-on training, and support sessions).
- Collaborate with digital teams to optimize LINE, website, and other platforms for two-way communication.
- Build strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to foster advocacy and product adoption.
- Ensure alignment with global and regional strategies while tailoring initiatives to local needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Marketing
- Lead strategic market planning and initiatives aligned with global and regional strategies.
- Maintain deep expertise in product knowledge, clinical literature, competitor activities, and local market dynamics.
- Monitor and analyze commercial performance, market trends, and customer feedback to inform marketing activities.
- Collaborate with Sales and Clinical Education teams to develop pricing strategies, product training programs, and successful product launches.
- Manage marketing budgets effectively and ensure ROI.
- Develop and maintain local market models and forecasts.
- Create and update marketing collateral with compelling messages tailored to the Japanese market.
- Train internal sales teams on product, clinical, and competitive knowledge.
Me+ Program Management
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives to support ostomates throughout their journey.
- Create tools and content that enable better patient care and education for HCPs.
- Plan and execute patient-focused events (both in-person and online).
- Continuously explore new ways to deliver valuable information to a broader audience.
- Localize global/regional content and create original materials that resonate with Japanese audiences.
Skills & Experience:
Key competencies and characteristics candidates need to demonstrate to help build our diverse, inclusive culture and to be successful in the role:
- 3+ years of experience in the medical device industry preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in marketing or patient support programs preferred.
- Experience working in a matrix organization and cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of traditional and digital marketing strategies.
- Proven success in managing product campaigns and patient engagement initiatives.
- Highly analytical with the ability to develop data-driven strategies.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Japan's healthcare system and regulatory environment.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Power BI.
- Ability to create and localize marketing collateral in Japanese.
