The Opportunity:

The Fisher Investments Ireland (FII) Translations Team Leader will join our growing in-house localisation team to help drive the firm's continued globalization efforts. In this role, you will work in close partnership with the existing Translations Team Leader to jointly oversee the firm's localisation efforts.

The FII Translations Team Leader will manage a team of in-house European linguists, ensuring efficiency, linguistic accuracy, and adherence to the firm's high-quality localization standards. You will provide services to internal clients including Sales, Service, Research, Content, Marketing, and Legal and Compliance. The FII Translations Team Leader will support growth initiatives, including human capital development, process development and planning. You will be reporting to the Associate Vice President of the firm's Content Group.

The Day-to-Day:

• Manage a team of European translators, supporting their training and professional development
• Partner with the existing Translations Team Leader to coordinate team objectives, project allocation and alignment to business needs
• Contribute to the development and refinement of localization workflows and linguistic quality control processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align localization activities with business objectives and timelines
• Develop and execute tone and language style guides for each European country we operate in
• Manage translation vendor relationships, including tracking costs, providing feedback, vetting new vendors, and developing a bench of new vendors
• Produce regular, actionable reporting for management on services provided by the team

Your Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Translation, Linguistics, or equivalent. MA in Translations or Linguistics is desirable
• Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a translation environment, preferably within the financial or legal sectors
• Experience managing Translation Memories, Glossaries, and Style Guides
• Experience with localization and internationalization issues across multiple content types
• Strong familiarity with CAT tools/TMS platforms, such as Phrase, MemoQ, Smartling, SDL Trados, preferably on a manager capacity
• Experience localizing various content types such as financial, marketing, legal, and educational client materials
• Experience working in uncertain environments, work independently, and be able to chart direction of projects/programs for the team
• Demonstrate exceptional organisational, analytical, and interpersonal abilities, consistently balancing concurrent tasks under strict timelines whilst making sound business decisions
• Strong strategic and operational mindset to guide direct reports on how to meet objectives
• Manage multiple and diverse stakeholders across businesses and leadership levels.
• Strong command of English is mandatory. Fluency in a European language. Danish, Dutch, French, Italian, Norwegian, Spanish or Swedish is advantageous
