The Content Marketing Strategist will join SimuTech’s Group’s in-house Marketing team headquartered in Rochester, NY. This role will be responsible for understanding search engine rankings required to devise a strategy that will bring to the top of both paid and organic search engine rankings. The primary focus of this role is search engine optimization (SEO) to increase and maintain high rankings for the corporate website, discover new opportunities, and create a content strategy based on keyword research. Another key function of the role is search engine marketing (SEM) to use paid strategies to increase search visibility.


We have a 35+ year relationship with ANSYS and we are their largest Elite Channel Partner in North America. We provide world-class ANSYS engineering simulation software as well as support, training, consulting and physical testing services. We are headquartered in Rochester, NY with additional offices in Cleveland, Seattle, Montreal, and Toronto. We also have additional remote sales and engineering personnel throughout North America. SimuTech Group employs over 140 people with nearly half being engineers; most holding Master's or PhD degrees.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Develop and implement effective search engine optimization (SEO) strategies
  • Conduct detailed keyword research to guide development of a content strategy
  • Optimize existing content including website, landing pages, and videos
  • Mine search query reports for new opportunities
  • Understand and communicate audience trends
  • Own the paid search strategy including managing Google Ads account
  • Manage and test pay-per-click marketing campaigns
  • Manage offsite and onsite optimization projects and report on performance
  • Front-end web development on WordPress site
  • Analytics – capture metrics and report on website traffic, rankings and other KPI’s
  • Technical writing, proofreading & editing responsibilities
  • Work with Engineering team to create technical content optimized for SEO
  • Review technical SEO issues and implement fixes
  • Collaborate with Creative Marketing strategist to optimize campaigns

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proven experience as SEO lead or similar role
  • Proven experience using pay-per-click (PPC) in conjunction with SEO to increase website ranking and leads
  • Knowledge of website design and usability, HTML/CSS, and current SEO practices
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Experience with SEO reporting and relevant tools (SEM Rush, Google Analytics, GSC)

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum five years of related experience in a corporate marketing role
